In parallel with my narratives, I have also been working with oil sticks. I find it very intriguing and fulfilling, by trying to reflect certain emotions, seasons and happenings in life using color intensity and marks. The inspiration for a series I have worked on, has been how life works by constantly giving us more experience to use for our judgements and actions. I’m illustrating this by adding layers of lines and marks that are then almost covered, but still there. I’m expressing that the experience and knowledge that we collect throughout life will remain in our sub-consciousness and will most likely be expressed in our behavior. The behavior is illustrated by a collaboration of marks in different colors with a more intense color schemes on top of all the underlaying line.
